About Monteviot House Garden

Monteviot House Garden are set in the lovely borders of Scotland (I know they are lovely, I used to live there!) with the River Teviot and Hills featuring heavily.

The collection of gardens and activities guarantees there will be something for everyone to do and see.

If you like roses, laburnum tunnels, arboretums, water gardens, herb garden, winter garden, river garden and the garden of persistent imagination (brilliant name!) then I think you will be well catered for!

On top of that there are woodland walks, fishing, a countryside visitor centre and on top of Penielheugh hill there is a 150 foot tall Doric column to visit.

During the winter they are the Monteviot Lights – illuminating the gardens and house!

A coffee in the shed (honesty box) will refresh you after a walk around the gardens!

Assistance dogs only welcome in the gardens.
