About Mottisfont Walled Rose Garden
Enjoy riverside walks in Mottisfont Walled Rose Garden with year round flowering and interest from herbaceous borders, lavender and rose displays!
With possibly the largest Plane tree in the UK, Chestnut trees and Oak trees providing cover during the summer and winter making it a perfect spot for a picnic.
Garden tours are available.
The roses tend to bloom early so from mid May to une. And only once a year!
As well as the rose garden there is plenty to see and do including refreshments at the Old Kitchen Café and Coach House Café.
There is a shop and plant shop and a second hand bookshop.
For Children there is an adventure play area including three climbing structures. Have fun!!
The House is worth a tour, built in the 18th Century and now styled in a neo-classical fashion.
Dogs policy
Assistance dogs only in the walled garden but welcome elsewhere, including the Cafe, on a lead.

“I love visiting here. It’s so beautiful. Lots of lovely trees and various flowers in season. Eg carpets of snowdrop in February, daffodils in March and blue bells in May and the gorgeous displays of roses in the walled rose garden in June and various helibores, cyclamen and masonic, etc in the winter garden.”
“Absolutely stunning place to visit when the roses are in bloom. They have so many varieties, and the smell is exquisite.
