Though not large the well kept Arts & Crafts styled gardens and woodland paths create a calm countryside atmosphere where visitors can unwind, explore and enjoy views of the historic home.

About Nuffield Place Garden

Nuffield Place Garden is a lovely four acre Arts & Crafts style garden created by Lord and particularly Lady Nuffield.

Lord Nuffield was the founder of the Morris Motor company so there is a lot of information about his role there.

There are a number of garden features to enjoy from the Rock Garden, the Rose Walk is recently restored, the North Garden with its mixture of lawn and mixed beds and the three main lawns including the Red Oak Lawn, Croquet Lawn and Pond Lawn.

You will find the Common Room second-hand bookshop in the Common Room in the house as well as a refreshment kiosk.

And you can take a guided tour of the mid 20th century house telling the story of Lord and Lady Nuffield.

Dogs on short leads are welcome in the gardens, woodlands & bookshop.
