Although small it offers a sheltered place to relax away from the wind with benches to sit and enjoy the scenery and wildlife.

About Lindisfarne Castle Garden
Lindisfarne Castle Garden is in such a good location and is tended by volunteers.
Created on an old vegetable patch by the well known Gertrude ‘Bumps’ Jekyll in a classic geometric design.
Restored in 2003 its a haven for wildlife and has hardy annuals, perennials heritage vegetables and leafy shade all year round.
So bring a picnic for great sea views and watch the wading birds and geese!
There are some tables and chairs but a rug on the lawn will do the job!
Being a National Trust property there is a second hand bookshop in one of the boating sheds by admissions.
There is a shop and plant sales in the village.

Dogs on short leads are welcome in the grounds.
There are nesting birds and livestock near the lime kilns.
