About RHS Garden Hyde Hall

RHS Garden Hyde Hall describes itself as ‘an eclectic mix of traditional and modern styles’.

What this means in practical terms is a mix of gardens such as the ‘Dry Garden‘ with its selection of drought resistant plants.

Or the ‘Hilltop Garden’ with its roses and herbaceous borders. But it doesn’t end there!

There are actually just over 20 individual gardens or areas to explore.

So see if you can visit the Woodland Garden, Rose Garden, Queen Mothers Garden, Lower Pond, Reservoir and Bird Hyde and the Higgledy Hyde!!

For refreshments there is the Clover Café and the Gardeners Rest Restaurant.

And for some light retail therapy check out the Hyde Hall Garden Centre which has houseplants, unique plants and shrubs, gardening tools and accessories, and an eclectic selection of gifts and homewares.

Only assistance or guide dogs are allowed in the garden. No pet dogs, sorry.

At Christmas watch out for the RHS Glow illuminations with trails and a botanical winter wonderland!

Don’t take our word for how these gardens are. Here is what visitors to RHS Garden Hyde Hall had to say.

“I was stunned with its beauty and the colour of autumn leaves and flowers..

the place is huge and there’s a lot of things you can do with family.”

” Beautiful gardens, huge variety of plants, excellent nature photography spot.

It has a pond and a lake filled with wildlife and the whole garden is well kept and maintained. You can tell a lot of work goes into it constantly.

There is also a cafe with indoor seating and a sizable gift shop.”
