Seaforde Gardens & Tropical Butterfly House offers a memorable day out in County Down with beautifully landscaped gardens, an impressive arboretum featuring champion trees, Ireland’s oldest living hornbeam maze, a herb garden, Mughal Tower viewing platform and historic walled gardens.

Visitors can also experience the tropical butterfly house, where free flying butterflies land on guests, before relaxing at The Garden House Café with homemade cakes, coffee and light snacks. Families will also find a picnic area, children’s play area and guided group tours of the private gardens available by arrangement.

About Seaforde Gardens & Tropical Butterfly House

Seaforde Gardens & Tropical Butterfly House is packed full of ineterst with lots of features to discover and enjoy.

From the walled garden, arboretum with champion trees, the wonderful Maze Garden, Herb Garden and Mughal Tower with its viewing platform and The Pheasantry.

The Tropical Butterfly House is a special place to visit where you can get up close to the butterflies.

Just don’t brush them off if they land on you as this may kill them!

Get help from the attendants who know how to deal with them – phew.

Get refreshment sat The Garden House Café which serves great coffee, homemade cakes and quick snacks!

There is also a picnic area for you to relax in and play area suitable for teh under 12’s.

Group booking and tours of the separate private gardens can be arranged.
