About Staindrop Open Gardens
Staindrop Open Gardens is open to 12 very interesting gardens situated on the well known green.
Expect to discover water features, fruit and vegetable plots, prize leeks, flower borders and some less common trees
Children will be looked after with a free to enter ‘find the soft toy’ competition.
St Mary’s Parish church, founded 771AD, will be open for guided tours
Traditional tea and cakes will be served in the Victorian Scarth Hall and the local pub, Wheatsheaf Inn, is open for refreshments.
And honey and plants sales will be taking place on the green.
All proceeds from this event will go to local causes including the village Christmas lights, the summer carnival and the parish church.
Toilets facilities are available.
