About Standen House and Garden

Standen House and Garden is a hillside Arts & Crafts property featuring an orchard, kitchen garden and a rosery.

Camellias and Rhododendrons are a speciality.

The garden has a few areas of interest such as ‘Goose Green’ which is the heart of the garden and use to be home to Geese. Not surprisingly.

There are terraces, rock walks and lots of produce which is used in th cafe from the kitchen garden.

Check out the bee hives in the orchard along with many apple variety’s.

From the garden there are paths to a woodland and forest for further exploration.

There is a children’s play area featuring a willow maze, wooden swing and balance beam. Great fun!

As well as the garden there is a cafe, second hand bookstore, shop selling arts and crafts gifts and a plant shop.

Dogs are allowed in the garden on a lead.
