About The Manor, Hemingford Grey

The Manor, Hemingford Grey i one of the two oldest continually lived in houses in the UK.

And was home to the author Lucy Boston, author of the Green Knowe series.

She created a lot of the garden you now see and enjoy.

Expect to see superb topiary, irises, roses, peonies, fritillaries, orchids and herbaceous borders which are planted for year round displays.

You can pre order a cream tea to have while you visit.

The house is open for tours but you must pre book before you visit.

Lucy was also a renowned creator of amazing patchworks which you can see in the house.
