About The Weir Garden
The Weir Garden is a 10 acre plot with a walled garden, riverside garden and parkland ready to be explored!
The Walled Garden is actually a three sided shape designed to get the most out of the sun.
Here you can see what is growing in the restored Georgian cold frames.
At the time of writing the 1920s glasshouse was shut for some restoration work but you can of course still see it in all its glory.
While you are strollng around the grounds watch out for The Boathouse, Rockery, Orchard, Secret Garden and riverside picnic spots.
There are some Roman ruins as well to see and a natural play area for the kids.
Plenty of wildlife spotting opportunities as well with otters and other small mammals resident as well as birds and bees!
Dogs policy at The Weir Garden
Dogs are allowed in the gardens and parkland but are not allowed to swim in the river as it is a SSSI!

Don’t take our word for how genuinely super these gardens are. Here is what visitors to The Weir Garden had to say:
“Lovely dog walk on a hot day, wandered amongst large trees along the riverside.
Sat on deckchairs overlooking the Wye river and had a picnic. Very relaxing”
“We had a lovely walk here, immersed in the wilderness look of the gardens.
There is also a lovely separate walled garden which needs another 20 minutes for a gentle look around.”
“Absolutely stunning display of Spring flowers, lovely walk and lots of places to sit and admire the view across the river.”
“Got there when it opened so pretty much had the place to ourselves on a perfect autumn day.
Great views, interesting plants and trees and even some Roman ruins! Also a walled garden with a lovely greenhouse.”
