About Treborth Botanic Garden
Treborth Botanic Garden is jam packed full of interest and a lot of features for you to discover and enjoy.
From the wildflower meadows, bog garden, butterfly corner to the rock garden, bamboos, heritage orchard and arboretum.
There are also woodlands, ponds and Welsh herbl garden.
And the two dragons project is a collaboration between the Treborth Garden,Bangor University, Edinborough Botanical Garden and Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanic Garden.
The aim is to help graduates gain practical experience and support career development in horticulture and environmental education.
The glasshouses are well worth a visit on the Wednesday and Friday they are open, and you will find a tropical house, temperate house, orchid house, cariverous house and a cool house conservatory.
Of note is The Size Of Wales Garden, a gold medal winner at Chelsea in 2024.
With 313 plant species planted it comments on the effect of deforestation on tropical forests. Go and see it!
There are four nature trails to follow if you fancy a wander around the grounds.
And you can do some bird and mammal spotting while you are exploring!

Mostly accessible to wheelchair users inlcuding the woodland. Some limitations in the greenhouses. Loos have a handrail.

Dogs on short and fixed leads welcome. Dispose of waste in the bins provided.
