The Wivenhoe Open Gardens are one of the earliest open gardens events to take place.
Situated on the River Colne there are about 30 gardens taking part so allow time if you want to see them all.

Brightlingsea Open Gardens features around 35 gardens although as the event is open for two days the numbers may vary on each day.

Harwich Town Secret Gardens, Harwich, Essex
Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th July 2025 (Confirmed), 27 Gardens
Now in its 14th year The Harwich Town Secret Gardens attract hundreds of visitors from afar afield as Paris, Thailand, India, Belgium, Holland and Louisiana!
In 2024 the event raised an impressive £2,000 despite the heavy rain.
There is an eclectic mix of often hidden gardens, courtyards, front gardens and townhouses. More Details here

Coggeshall Open Gardens, Coggeshall, Essex

The Coggeshall Open Gardens are blessed with having some very mature gardens dating back 200 years.
The Cedars garden was established 200 years ago and hosts mature gardens and trees such as cedar and oak as well as vegetable garden and greenhouse. More Details here
