An Historic Houses garden Athelhampton Gardens has 12 acres of gardens with a Grade 1 listed house – find out why Thomas Hardy loved to visit.

The formal gardens were created by Cart De Lafontaine in 1891 onwards and are formed in an Arts & Crafts style.
Dogs are allowed in the gardens on a lead but not in the house.
