Bennetts Water Gardens is an eight-acre, wildlife-rich garden famous for its National Plant Collection of water lilies. Explore ponds, woodland walks, exotic plants and a Monet style Japanese bridge, then visit the Tropical House, museum, plant nursery and café. It’s a peaceful, photogenic garden (weddings take place here) with plenty of interest for plant lovers and regular lovers alike!

About Bennetts Water Gardens

Bennetts Water Gardens are an 8 acre naturalistic garden with over 300 varieties of water lilies as part of their famous International Collection.

At its centerpiece there is a Japanese Monet style bridge – perfect for the Instagram photos!

Many of the lilies planted came from the same nursery that supplied Claude Monet’s garden in Giverny. Cool!

You can wander through grass pathways to a series of likes abundant with wildlife and interesting planting.

Expect to find wetland plants, specimen trees, palms, wild plants and flowers. 

There are beautiful shady places to stop and enjoy the views and sounds of the gardens.

Other main features in the gardens include the Duck House, Willow Arch, Gazebo and a Japanese Bridge.

The Tropical House is home to a cactus garden, lotus and exotic plants.

While the Museum has over 150 years of history about the local Chickerell village as well as information of the site from the Brickworks & Clay Pits of 1859 to how it is today.

There is free parking, a Gift Shop, Specialist Plant Nursery & Café for all your refreshments needs.
