There will be a wide variety of gardens to visit – some small, others extending to several acres: Cottage gardens with shrubberies and herbaceous borders, vegetable gardens, wildlife gardens, specimen trees, ponds, orchard areas, a wildflower meadow and many more.

About Chilbolton Open Gardens

Chilbolton is a pretty village in the heart of the Test Valley. There are thatched cottages and a beautiful Grade 1 Listed church.

Chilbolton has the beautiful Cow Common and also West Down and a Grade 1 Listed village church. Why not make a day of it?

The Abbots Mitre pub, in the centre of the village, serves excellent food and has lots of outside seating.

Chilbolton Stores is also at the centre of the village and will be open until 5pm for ice creams.

Chilbolton Common is lovely for a walk as is West Down.

Some gardens have wonderful views over the River Test and valley beyond, and this year there will be more beautiful gardens which haven’t been open before

Teas and home-made cakes will be available in one of the gardens.
