About Killerton Gardens
Killerton Gardens really d0 have plenty to see and explore including an extinct volcano and there is the legend of the local dragon!
There are some lovely walks with amazing views, good for Instagram, a chapel, formal terraces, a wildflower meadow, a rock garden, an ice house and lots of trees!
Do check out the Georgian House, the Chapel, the Fashion Exhibition on the first floor of the house, the extensive (8,400 acres!) parklands with an Iron Age Fort.
For the children there are a couple of plays areas including table tennis.
There is plenty to see and do beside the gardens with a shop selling homewares, Killerton Kitchen Café, the Stables coffee shop and a second hand bookshop.
Dogs are allowed outside on a short lead and inside the Stable Cafe.
Assistance dogs are allowed everywhere of course!
At Christmas time watch out for the house and stables being lit up along with trails for the children.
Local Choirs will be singing and in 2025 Killerton is hosting the The Red Dress Project showcasing a dress which has been embroidered by vulnerable people in 51 countries. Go and support them!

Don’t take our word for how super these gardens are. Here is what visitors to Killerton Gardens had to say:
“Gardens are lovely and full of flowers, and they are well maintained.”
“The best parts of the site had to be the summer house and the church, as both of these were unexpected to see and so beautiful!
There were lots of children activities to keep them busy during our visit, from Frisby Golf, dress up, and finding fake mice around the ground floor of the house.”
“Lovely grounds, amazing house. The sausage rolls are awesome as always.
Good fun, bring the kids, the wife, the dog and bomb-about for a couple of hours.”
