Glenarm, County Antrim, is home to the Earls of Antrim and an award winning four acre Walled Garden. Created in the 1820s, it features colourful borders, a potager, fruit gardens, sculptures, water features and one of Ireland’s largest Victorian glasshouses. Woodland walks, wildlife, family activities, food, shops and events make Glenarm an enjoyable day out for visitors of all ages throughout the seasons.

Glenarm Castle & Garden is located about 17 miles North East of Ballymena and is home ot the Eals of Antrim as well as its award winning Walled Garden!
There is plenty for all of the family to see and enjoy a well as the Castle and Walled Garden there are woodland walks, a Dog Park, a Woodland Adventure Play Area, Shopping, great Food & Drink options, events and other facilities.
If you want to find out more about the history of the Earls of Antrim the Glenarm Castle Heritage Centre brings it all to life.
You can book guided tours of the Castle and get a glimpse into life behind the walls.
The Walled Garden really is the party piece at Glenarm. Created in 1820 it has been fully restored ‘to create a garden full of colour, scent and beauty‘.
Take a stroll throught the potager vegetable garden, enjoy the fruit gardens, herbaceous borders, sculptures, views from the Mount over to Scotland, water features and explore one of Ireland’s largest Victorian glasshouses.
Venture further afield to take a woodland walk, there is a children’s trail, and watch out for the local wildlife like robins, red squirrels and rabbits.
For the children there is the Woodland Adventure Play Area with its rope bridge, climbing nets, slide and wooden staircase.
And for the more adventurous they can take part in the Mini Land Rover experiences. Got to have a go on that!
Refreshments are provided by The Tea Room for the best in locally sourced ingredients, The Potting Shed or freshly brewed coffe and baked cakes, The Milk Parlour for true Artisan Ice Cream and The Pizza Pavilion for ‘Wood Fired Perfection’! You are really spoit for choice here!
There are a number of shops for you to explore from the Castle Shop, The Byre, Shearer Ceramics, the Dribbly Yak Company, Causway Aromatics, Ivy & Gold, Cherie Craig Art and Past & Present.
These all offer locally made and sourced artisanal gifts, antiques, candles art and jewellery.
You will find events taking place throughout the year including the famous Christmas at Glenarm Castle.
For dog owners you can also book in some great value time at the Glenarm Castle Dog Park. A separate area just for you and your dogs! Probably best to book ahead so you and your chum are not disppointed!
