About Kingston Maurward Animal Park & Gardens
Kingston Maurward Animal Park & Gardens is a 35 acre formal garden restored in part in the 1990’s from original designs by the Hanbury’s.
With a Japanese garden, a red garden, large herbaceous borders and a superb collection of trees and a lake, holding two national Collections, tender Saliva and Penstemon, year round interest.
Other garden features include the Brick Garden, the Terrace Garden, Crown Grden, Red Garden and The Penstemon Terrace.
There is also a cafe, shop and plant sales and an animal park for additional interest with pigs, donkeys, goats, waterfowl, alpacas, guinea pigs and ponies.
Toilets, accessible and baby changing facilities.
Disabled access is available for reception, up to the villas & restaurant.
The main avenues of the garden can be accessed on a buggy.
The terrain in some parts are undulating and hence some access is limited.
Watch out for special events and trails.
