About Leeds Castle Garden
Leeds Castle Garden is packed full of seasonal planting so there will always be something to see, and smell, whenever you visit!
There are a number of gardens rooms to discover, each special in its own way.
From the Princess Alexandra Gardens, Oriental Garden, Lady Baillie Mediterranean Garden Terraces, Culpeper Gardens and Wildflower Meadow to the enjoyable circular walking routes.
Watch out for the varied wildlife as you explore the 500 acre estate with Kingfisher, Nuthatch, Jay, Magpie, Wagtails and Great Spotted Woodpeckers all present and if you are lucky you may get to see a SparrowHawk or Buzzard.
And look down and you may see grass snakes and eels lurking in the ponds and streams.
There are many other activities you can take part in at Leeds Castle like the Maze and Grotto – how long will it take you to get to the centre of the 2,400 yew trees?
And once there descend into the underground Grotto with its thunder and mythical creatures!
There is a playground, dog collar museum, birds of prey centre and a kids obstical course.
Make sure you buy the right ticket which covers all of these events you wish to participate in.
And of course you can take a tour of the 1930’s castle.
There are plenty of options for food and drink with cafes, restaurants, kiosks and shops with a wide range of gifts and products for special occasions.
We have only really scratched the surface here as there are often events taking part as well like the Nutcracker Christmas in the Castle or the Christmas Lights Trail.
