About Morrab Gardens
Morrab Gardens is a super sub tropical garden benefitting from the milder climate and South facing location.
A short, hilly, walk from the centre of Penzance these small gardens are tranquil and calm – perfect to relax in!
Expect to see plants from around the world including Araucaria: monkey puzzle tree, Amelanchier: serviceberry, Camellia sinensis thea, Davidia: Chinese dove tree/handkerchief tree, Helleborus nigra: Christmas rose and Trachycarpus fortunei: Chusan palm/Windmill palm.
There is plenty of smaller wildlife to see including dragonflies, hedgehogs, toads, butterflies, frogs, jays, newts, stick insects and kingfishers.
The paths are mostly tarmacced and step free.
There are no toilets in the gardens but there are some in Penzance.
The Morrab Library is close by and worth a visit – no dogs and a small charge.
