Ormesby Hall – Historic Hall with Gardens and Woodland Walks

Ormesby Hall is a magnificent National Trust estate that was home to the Pennyman family for over 400 years. Set within 240 acres of parkland and farmland, visitors can explore beautifully preserved rooms, including the Entrance Hall, Dining Room and Gallery, before discovering the fascinating model railway collection in the former servants’ quarters.

Outside, the gardens provide a peaceful green oasis with year round colour, woodland walks, a vibrant wildflower meadow, a natural play area and abundant wildlife including dragonflies, nuthatches and treecreepers.

A welcoming café and secondhand bookshop make it an ideal day out for all ages.

About Ormesby Hall

Ormesby Hall has beena home to the Pennyman family for over 400 years and is set in 240 acres of parkland and farmland.

The house allows you to explore many rooms from the Entrance Hall, dining Room to Gallery and Ante Room.

And you musn’t miss the Model railway collection in the servants quarters!

Great fun for adults, and maybe the children!

The garden is rigjhtly described as a ‘green oasis in the heart of industrial Middlesbrough’.

There is all year round planting and woodland walks to be taaken and a natural play area.

The wildflower meadow is beautuful and wildlife is abundant with Nuthatches and Treecreepers and the pond buzing with dragonflies.

There is a Cafe with indoor and outdoor seating selling snack, hot and cold drinks and light lunches to eat in or as a takeaway.

And a second hand bookshop with fiction, non fiction for adults and children.
