About Strawberry Hill House & Garden
Strawberry Hill House & Garden is a Gothic house built by Horace Walpole which now has a five acre garden which has been restored to its 18th Century grandeur.
While some of the original views have now been lost to housing there are fine manicured lawns, trees, woodlands, flowers shrubs and fragrance were all important to Horace Walpole who was himself inspired by William Kent.
There is a Family trail, Sensory trail and Fairy trail to follow taking you past various garden features including a hidden garden.
The Garden Cafe is open to all visitors to the House & Garden – try the Roots and Berries Afternoon Tea. Pre booking required.
The Shop is open to everyone and operates the same opening hours as the house.
You can take a guided tour of the house and there are often events and exhibitions on including the Christmas Crafts.
