Veddw House Garden – Creative Calm Awaits!

Veddw House Garden is an extraordinary four-acre ornamental garden and woodland, created over four decades by Anne Wareham and Charles Hawes.

Wander through a series of beautifully designed garden rooms including the Windfall Garden, Magnolia Walk, Hazel Coppice, Reflecting Pool, Hosta Walk, Parterre, Pond and the remarkable Hedge Garden. With its relaxed yet thoughtful design, plentiful seating and optional audio tours, it’s the perfect place to slow down and appreciate innovative planting.

Coach parties are welcome by advance booking, and there are plenty of cafés and pubs nearby in Tintern for refreshments. The garden is regularly praised as one of Britain’s finest contemporary gardens

About Veddw House Garden

Veddw House Garden is a garden created by Anne Wareham and Charles Hawes over the last 40 or so years.

There are so many features to see and enjoy spread over the 4 acres of ornamental gardens and woodlands.

From the windfall garden, magnolia walk, hazel coppice, conservatory, wood, reflecting pool, hosta walk, pond, parterre and amazing hedge garden.

I’m not really doing the garden justice here!

Best just to go and visit!

If you like a considered, but laid back approach to gardens, then this will definitely be your thing.

Take advantage of the many benches in the enclosed gardens to sit, relax and ponder the many varieties of plants in front of you.

You can take audio tours of the gardens which is a good idea.

And coach parties are welcome – just book in advance!

There are plenty of great places in Tintern to grab some refreshments.

Expect slopes & gravel paths but alternative routes and helpful owners mitagte some of the difficulties. No mobile signal at the garden!
