About Aberdour Castle & Gardens
Aberdour Castle & Gardens was built in the 100’s and is now a fine example of what a medieval castle that is developed over time looks like.
The surrounding gardens offer a superb walled garden, terraces, an orchard and an impressive doocot – or dovecote.
Facilities include a shop, picnic area, bicycle rack, water filling an you can even hire out the grounds for wedings and events!
Accessibility at Aberdour Castle & Gardens
The walled garden has level access with a mix of compacted gravel and cobbled paths, plus a border of strongly scented flowers. The terraced garden, orchard and dovecot are accessed via steps or a steep grass bank and are entirely grass with no marked paths.
Dogs at Aberdour Castle & Gardens
Dogs are allowed in outside areas and assistance dogs in all areas.
