About Brantwood Gardens
Brantwood Gardens is known for being the home of the writer John Ruskin and is now an RHS Partner Garden.
The grounds of the house total 250 acres so plenty of land to explore.
The gardens themselves are split into three areas with eight unique gardens to see within. The lower garden being the most accessible.
There are a number of features to enjoy from the Zig-Zaggy, Professors Garden, Harbour Walk and High Walk.
Expect to get some great views over coniston Water and of course the Old Man of Consiton!
There are quizzes for children whcih is a good idea to keep them busy!
The Terrace Coffe House & Restaurant is open for refresments including brunch, lunch and never ending cakes!
Your ticket gives you access to the House, Blue Gallery and Severn Studio – look out for ever changing exhibitions and events.

” Lots of walks through gardens down at the lakeside with the small harbour he built for his rowing boat.
Up the hill are various walks from the ziggy zag walk based on Dante’s Divine Comedy up to woodland walks.”
“The gardens are also amazing and with a number of intriguing features to see such as Ruskin’s Seat, Professor Garden, Northern Gardens, Southern Gardens, High Walk & Fern Garden and all of the features are easy on the eye and brilliant.
The gardens also have a breathtaking displays of Rhododendrons especially during April-June.”
