About Lyme Park
Lyme Park is a National Trust property located less than a mile from Disley and 6 miles from Stockport, close to the Peak District and is a super day out for all of the family.
The Regency house is open for tours, events and great for family fun with games and dress up conservation in action.
The garden really is a garden for all seasons with a splendid rose garden, cascading water and pools, herbaceous borders, aa new addition of the streamside garden, known as ‘Killtime’ as well as wid meadows and formal lawns.
As well as the gardens you will find plenty of facilities for you to use and enjoy.
The Park cover 1,400 acres and there are plenty of walks for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy.
Watch out for various buildings in the park like the The Cage, Lantern and Paddock Cottage.
And wildlife is always there to be spotted from red deer to highland cows.
And for the younger kids there is the Crow Wood play area with a Cafe and toilets close by – important!
There is a shop, plant shop and bookshop.
And refreshments are available from the Café, Tea Room, Coffee Shop and Kiosk.
And if the weather is fine, or even if it isn’t, there are picnic benches available and you are welcome to picnic in the garden which is nice.
