Paradise Park and Gardens, about a mile northeast of Newhaven town centre, combines formal and informal gardens with lakes, waterfalls, fountains, plant houses and Oriental gardens. Families can enjoy play areas, crazy golf, arcade games, the Planet Earth Museum and seasonal events. The Sussex Heritage Trail, garden centre, Coffee Shop and children’s facilities add more to explore throughout the year. The park is accessible to wheelchair users..

My top tip: Allow a few extra pounds for additional charges for some facilities – not expensive, but worth factoring in!

Visitor Information for Paradise Park

Paradise Park and Gardens is located about a mile to the North East of Newhaven town centre.

They is a very family and children friendly focus with many facilities for all ages to enjoy from gardens, play areas, crazy gold, museums and seasonal events!

The Gardens include both formal and informal styles with the emphasis on the lakes, waterfalls and fountains and not fogetting the fish you can feed!

And specialist areas like the Sensory Garden, Fairy Garden and Dinosaur Safari.

And the Plant Houses are home to some wonderful temperate planting and the Fern House has thousands of species and cacti from around the world.

If all of this becomes too much then head to the Oriental gardens for some peace and quiet.

Take a walk along the Sussex Heritage Trail which shows landmarks that have shaped Sussex’s rich and diverse past.

For the kids there is the super Play Zone with both indoor and outdoor play and a separate soft play area for the under 3’s.

And don’t forget the arcade games, the nine hole crazy golf course amd miniature train!

The Paradise Park Garden Centre is home to many thousands of plants either grown in the nurseries or locally in Sussex. As well as plants there are tools and a dedicated area to outdoor living so you can give your garden a full glow up!

Refreshments are provided by the Coffee Shop which serves breakfast, lunch afternoon tea and cakes as well as hot and cold drinks.

And in the play Zone there is a Coffee Pod serving hot and cold drinks as well as cakes and ice creams.

A must see is the Planet Earth Museum where you can learn all about the evolution of Planet Earth from dinosaurs to human beings.

Watch out for events being held both during school holidays and seasonal events like the Halloween Trail and Santa’s Grotto!
