Being an island nation we are not short of coastline and we have some splendid coastal gardens for you to visit! And some with a beach!
Many of the gardens benefit from their own micro climates, sub tropical really, so you
will often get to see plants that don’t thrive as well elsewhere.
From the Trebah Garden in Cornwall, Coleton Fishacre & Gardens in Devon and the Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens in Dorset up to the Scottish gardens of Achamore on the Isle of Gigha and Brodick Castle and Gardens on the Isle of Arran you are guaranteed great views of the islands and coastline!

Trebah Garden, Cornwall

Close to St Mawes the garden is split into various compartments such as the woodland area, a water garden in Japanese style, a small bridge on which to lean and look out over the bay exhibiting a distinctly Venetian influence.
