An Historic Garden Escape In West London!
From Isleworth, West London, Osterley Park and House offers an impressive escape from the city, with 350 acres of parkland surrounding Robert Adam’s elegant house. Visitors can explore restored formal gardens, the Tudor walled garden, Winter Garden, lake, wildlife and sweeping views. The estate is also dog friendly in designated areas, with a café, shop and seasonal events.

Visitor Information for Osterley Park and House
Osterley Park and House is about 1.5 miles from Isleworth train station on the outskirts of West London.
The house is described as one of the most complete by Robert Adam and the grounds offer ample opportunity to stretch your legs, and those of your doggy companion!
Expect to find lakes, super views, follies and wildlife all of which being so close to London is just wonderful and really takes you right out of the city.
Take a tour of the house and enjoy the many rooms open to see and marvel at the decorations, friezes and furniture which were all designed by Adam specifically for each room. A favourite of mine is the Long Gallery – the size is really impressive as is the art!
The formal garden has been brought back to is 1th century splendour and there are some super features for you to look out for.
From Mrs Child’s Flower Garden and the Robert Adam designed Garden House, to the well known Tudor walled garden and the new Winter Garden.
All of these are tended using organic means by stopping use of fungicides and insecticides and limiting the use of weedkillers.
And the results speak for themselves!
In the Stable Courtyard you will find the Café with indoor and outdoor seating, serving hot and cold food and drink including the classic cream tea.
And there is a Kiosk which opens seasonally and serves hot drinks and snack as well ice cream and fresh pizza at the weekend.
The Shop has a good range of gifts, books, toys, gardening accessories and a plant selection as well.
There is a welcoming bookshop with seating to encourage proper browsing!
And look out for special events like the Craft Cart, outdoor theatre and The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and The Tale of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny.
